Comments
Comments: Walked up Big Hill Rd to Rooney Rd. Turned up Rooney Rd and put on snowshoes at gate. Followed Rooney Rd SE to last utility pole where we turned E to the summit . Followed logging roads and skidder roads to summit area. Very short bw, over 3 contender mounds, in scratchy woods to summit bottle.
Breaking effort - tedious breaking conditions of approx 8" where 1.5" unsupportive crust would collapse under our weight into odd shaped slabs resulting in uncomfortable ankle positions.
Because of these breaking conditions, we scratched the idea of bw to Dalton Mt and decided to drive closer to that summit.
Grades - all easy
