Heading counter clockwise, trail leading off of the east ledges is not well blazed. Without a clear path showing the way (and reading someone else’s post stating stay to the right, it could get missed. No signs or carins at summit. |

It was quite busy for a weekday, but I heard it was a popular trail. It’s always nice to see others and say a quick hello. I was in a party of 3 and we wore snowshoes the entire way. Only ran into one other person with snowshoes. Everyone else had spikes. Snowshoes were not a must, spikes would have worked but you needed to say right on trail or there was the potential to post hole if you stepped off. There was some serious postholing along that trail. |
