Comments
Comments: I wore running snowshoes roundtrip and found them to be ideal. One could get away with Microspikes first thing this morning (if avoiding the Mt. Tecumesh summit trail), though it looked like a lot of tire spinning on the steeps (still some loose powder). Things were softening up down low later this morning, resulting in Microspike snowballing and possibly postholing later on. Would advise wearing snowshoes (not necessarily the awkward old school tubular frame ones) as the temperatures rise.

Mt. Tecumseh summit trail (right at the crooked sign) was postholed by a Massachusetts Microspiker prior to the completion of yesterday's storm. I cleaned up what I could with snowshoes. If going without snowshoes, stay left at the crooked sign (Sosman Trail), as this side is not packed.

Sosman Trail to the ski area looked to be broken out for snowshoe use.

Lots of buttsledders out, some learning the hard way why it's a risky activity (noted at least one collision with a tree, and also noted someone gradually lost the contents of their pockets).

Did not notice any evidence of measurable rain from yesterday's storm; perhaps a very, very slight crust in a few places.

Overall, I would estimate 2 feet of snowpack at the bottom, increasing to 3 to 4 higher up.
