Parking lot had a few spaces left circa 10:30 a.m. This is a short hike so some people are ready to leave just as others are arriving. |

Parts of the east branch of the UNH trail are post-holed but most of the trail is packed firm. You could manage/get away with microspikes, but snowshoes are a definite plus. I would recommend going up the gentle eastern side and the butt-sliding down the west! If you don't have or don't like snowshoes, turn right at the intersection and go up and back on the steep west side. |
