Comments
Comments: A beautiful day to be up there. We saw people using microspikes, snowshoes, crampons, and skis along the Crawford Path. There were a lot of folks out. The Ammo starts out crusty, was sticky after a mile or so due to the warmth, and became deeper from drifts the higher we went. The trail was well defined and easy to follow. We did not ascend Madison but it was very busy and there seemed to be no issues. The Crawford Path was blue ice and difficult to follow for the first quarter mile but finding our way back to it wasn't difficult. In most places, the trail was easy to follow. We took the Ammo back down and at that time it was pitted from barebooters. Many people descended using Jewell so it is likely also well broken out.
