Comments
Comments: We wore snowshoes for this entire hike and happy we did.
19 Mile Brook was packed down well. The Carter-Moriah trail from Carter Lake to Carter Dome was not packed out and VERY steep. Had to take this section slowly to ensure secure footing with snowshoes. Gray Jays at the summit of Carter Dome were very happy to see us. Only saw one person in spikes, everyone else was wearing snowshoes-which I recommend for this hike, especially up high where there's more fresh snow. This route had over 5000'of elevation gain and the views were our reward today!! Simply amazing. Someone clearly had a sh*tty hike with all the post-holing we saw-especially on Imp...what a mess.
