Comments
Comments: what a great hike. Howker Ridge an amazing approach route to Madison..pretty sheltered to 5000 feet, great vistas and lots of good foot bed. Saw only 1 person to the summit of Madison but once past the hut the trails got busy including a moose sighting at around 5200 feet off the gulfside trail...just hanging out..we actually got quite close to him..Ran into some friends at Thunderstorm Jct then tagged Adams via Lowes path. Spurr Trail on descent a bit rough in places but in good shape. Randolph Path back to the car was in excellent shape with a great footbed.. Looks like this is shaping up to be a presi summer...another great day above treeline.. Thanks Val
