Comments
Comments: Still full snow cover remains, even with temperatures in the mid 50s around sunset. About a foot of snowpack, though some south facing slopes have rocks poking through.

Snow was soft enough that postholing was occurring even on this bootpacked trail. I found snowshoes to be ideal, as they avoided postholing and required less effort than spinning one's tires with Microspikes or bareboots. Tried to repair some of the posthole/divet damage, as what remains 24 hours from now will probably set up solid and make for nasty hiking in the cooler temperatures.
