Comments
Comments: We were first up today. The trail wa very pretty with fresh trace snow. The packed trail is narrow and choppy with frequent post holes. I used snowshoes and had no issues, while my partner used spikes and discovered several post holes. Martha's mile was fairly stable and less choppy than Cherry Mountain. Final ascent of Owl's head is steep and icy, and I used Crampons for the descent. We passed a group of 6 other hikers, all of whom used spikes but appeared less comfortable than I. We lucked out as the clouds lifted throughout the day, ultimately providing a full view of the Presis. My opinion, Owl's Head is definitely the more spectacular view.
