Comments
Comments: Great snowy, windy hike yesterday! Only saw 6 other people the entire day. Conditions went from sun to wind to squalls (sometimes very heavy) all day. Heavy drifting on Zeta pass made that .8 mile stretch a bit tricky. Original plan was to hit Hight on way back from CD summit but high winds and bouts of zero visibility had us think twice and decide to return in nicer weather. We wore snowshoes all day and glad we did especially through Zeta Pass but overall 19MB is well packed and could get away with spikes, same with Carter Dome Trail. We saw some pretty major postholes along all trails most of the day. Summit cairn is completely buried - great day in a winter wonderland.
