Despite the bare spot at the trailhead (and one small barespot on the southern slope near the top), there is still full snowpack. The cold weather set up the trail and it was firm today with temperatures in the 30s. Microspikes were helpful on the ice. Snowshoes would be a good idea if it gets warm again (and doesn't go below freezing at night). |
