Comments
Comments: Colder temperatures last night set up the snowpack/ice and it didn't get warm enough today to thaw it. Bootpacked path had two bare spots (at trailhead and on the final south-facing approach to the summit) that were a few dozen feet each, but otherwise was full snowcover. Extended blue ice stretch near the trailhead. Firm enough for Microspikes this afternoon, but snowshoes may be a better idea tomorrow afternoon and onward in the warmer temperatures until the snowpack melts down more, so that postholes/divets aren't left in the trail when it sets up on colder nights.
