Late afternoon just one more... Snow was only 6 to 10 inches deep and often rotten with a breakable crust not the joyous snowshoeing I had over on Huntington. But my snowshoe did bite once they got to the bottom of the snow and sometimes I didn't sink. Steep silly steep but no cliffs and I crossed at least 3 grown in skid roads high up. Once on ridge it was nice great to the north lower bump down and up to Blacks recognized summit. Cool obstructed vita of Scar Ridge++. Took my time going down didn't want to fall and roll into the pokey trees. Fun last day of winter. |
