Entering South Road from the North I parked about .6 miles on the road where the snowmobile trail enters the Class VI portion of South Road. There is a turnaround for the plow trucks and it is well marked with No Parking signs so I chose to park along the road instead. |

I walked the snomo trail for about .5 miles to the summer parking and Silver Mountain TH. The trail was easy to follow marked with yellow blazes. Fantastic 270 degree views from the recognized HOL. Surface was supportive the entire way. I returned in my tracks. |
