Great day out! Got a nice bite with my trail crampons on the packed, icy trail. Same with descent but the trail was a bit softer. I still needed traction. Hikers microspikes were collecting snowballs. Snowshoes with televators would have been awesome. Parker trail is packed and easy as it is relatively flat. I enjoyed the nice open areas on this trail especially after being whacked with pine branches most of the way. Eye protection was key today. And sunscreen! Which I usually forget. The steep
pitch up
To Resolution was a piece of cake today. Nothing like in the summer with a full pack. |
