Comments
Comments: Triple chairlift complex does not look to have much continuous snow left.

Double chairlift complex is melting out at the very bottom, but otherwise has continuous coverage all the way to the top, though there are some rocks and bare spots. Generally a foot of snowpack that was fairly stable for skis/snowshoes were previously groomed, but ungroomed was very soft (instant sinking). Barebooting or Microspiking would be a terrible idea and would draw the ire of the folks skinning/skiing.

The herd path from the tower is unstable; even with snowshoes, some steps held and others sank a foot. Snowshoes still the way to go. Similar conditions with the bushwhack on my previous tracks. About a foot and a half of spring snow in the woods up top.

Beautiful afternoon with blue skies and temperatures in the upper 60s/lower 70s.
