The trail is publicly accessible, but from what I can tell there is not parking. I walked Mt. Surprise Road from Hurricane Mountain Road. |

At the end of Mt. Surprise road, I followed the woods road behind a gate a short distance to a kiosk. I took a short walk to the top of surprise and then made may way to Bartlett. I took the connector to the Kearsarge Tr. and then up to the summit.
The lower trail was completely snowfree. Just below Bartlett I switched to snowshoes. Snowshoes were important between Bartlett and Kearsarge; and they worked for the upper Kearsage Tr. Very nice route, though the access is not great. |
