Repeat customer (three days in a row) to this peak, as it's already thawed (whereas the nearby Squam Range trailheads are closed for mud season). A few small patches of snow still exist, but they are now completely avoidable. A little bit of mud and running water from the rain yesterday. Otherwise, the trail was mostly dry.
Lots of branches down from the wind storm, but only one tree down.
Looks like more trailing arbutus could be blooming soon.
Lots of blue water visible on Winnipesaukee, but still ice on the northern end of the lake. |
