Comments
Comments: A visit to Rattlesnake to check on something that apparently doesn't exist yet. Oh well. Trail conditions were 99.9% dry. No sun today, but still nice views from the summit ridge.

From the loop junction, I also did a short side trip north along the ridge above Rattlesnake, following an unmarked but very clear trail which ascended over a couple of ledgy knobs with restricted views. About 0.5 mi. in, the trail transitioned to a vague herd path, then seemed to completely end after that point. Near where I turned around, I found two rakes. I noted recent mountain bike traffic through here, so perhaps bikers left them here for maintenance?
