| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I parked at the momument on Buffalo Rd. in Rumney, just east of the formal trailhead. The parking notice posted by the Rumney PD is a bit of a hoot. |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
No issues. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
RMT is fairly eroded in places. No blowdowns. Waterbars are filled with dirt and leaves and don't look like they've been touched in a while. The wooden waterbars are also pretty rotted. Blazing is very faded. |

A visit to Rattlesnake to check on something that apparently doesn't exist yet. Oh well. Trail conditions were 99.9% dry. No sun today, but still nice views from the summit ridge.
From the loop junction, I also did a short side trip north along the ridge above Rattlesnake, following an unmarked but very clear trail which ascended over a couple of ledgy knobs with restricted views. About 0.5 mi. in, the trail transitioned to a vague herd path, then seemed to completely end after that point. Near where I turned around, I found two rakes. I noted recent mountain bike traffic through here, so perhaps bikers left them here for maintenance? |
