Comments
Comments: From the upper section of the Snows Mountain Trail, I took a compass bearing for Cold Brook and made a bushwhack ascent of Middle Tripyramid via Cold Brook ravine; there was a lot less snow than I had anticipated at the upper elevations, so I didn’t end up needing to use my snowshoes. Overall, the forest was mostly open, with a few ledge bands to navigate around. From Middle Tri to the south peak there were intermittent sections of soft snow on the trail. The South Tripyramid Slide was very dry, actually dusty at times. Saw one other hiker on the trail today.
