Comments
Comments: Even with the snow forecast for tomorrow Airline will be far easier than Valley Way, going up anyway. Bare ground today on Airline until almost the top of the steeps, then snow but virtually no monorail. What monorail there is is on a ridge top, not a steep sidehill like the Valley Way. Once you reach treeline it's bare ground again. The Valley Way is mashed cauliflower/monorail from Watson Path to the hut. Plenty of opportunity to decide which you dislike more : unstable monorail or rocks/water/mud.

Met a couple who were planning to ski King's Ravine headwall tomorrow. Valley Way would be the path of choice for them - more miles of snow to skin up. The headwall looked quite sketchy to me, but what do I know?
