Fantastic hike. Late start around 11 AM. Parking lot was unplowed but melting quickly. Trail was nicely packed by earlier-starting snowshoe hikers. Light traction was sufficient, but switched to snowshoes for part of the ascent to use the televators. Snow became sticky by late afternoon on the descent. Switched to bare boots for the last portion of the descent due to slushy patches and rocks exposed by the melting snow. |
