Is it Pikes Peak or Pikes “Peek First time noticing the sign spells it as Peek, with an A scribbled in by a local proofreader. Perfect for today’s late start With a view that never disappoints. Barebooted entire way. Free of snow at the bottom and surprisingly Minimal mud. Snow only in the last half mile, but never enough to need traction. Ledges were dry and clear and the sweep of the mountains from Moosilauke across to Cannon, to Franconia Ridge, then the Twins, the Tri’s, the Belknaps and the Ossipees is always stunning; fills the bank for the week ahead. |
