Parking/Access Road Notes: there were two cars in small lot when we arrived (10am); none when we left

Surface Conditions: Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Snow - Unpacked Powder, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow - Spring Snow, Slush

Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes, Light Traction

Water Crossing Notes: one minor ford towards the beginning -- easy 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: trail was fine. Very impressive water-diversion work at bottom 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: our two dogs loved it, and the VERY STRONG gusts on the summit didn't phase the little one 
Bugs
Bugs: huge, with scorpion tails! (not) 
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: The kiosk at the bottom is filling up with single gloves and stuff. 
 
Comments
Comments: about 3-5" of fresh powder had gotten very sticky by the timme we started ascending. Some icy patches where the water was running over rocks in the trail up above were already crumbling in the warmer temperature. Microspikes were fine but got ice-balls constantly that had to be kicked off. This is a great trail that we've never done before; very few people.
