Followed Class Vi Clough Road uphill, continuing under the power lines back into the woods until the junction with Patton Road. Took a sharp left onto Patton and continued maybe .1 mile before staring our bushwhack. We took a line toward the summit angling slightly to the northern side of the peak as it seemed to be more moderate. Open woods for awhile then a rocky, mossy section. We were able to follow what appeared to be a moose path up to a cairn. No jar plus did not seem to be the highest point. Scoured the peak, hitting several high points, one marked by a second, larger cairn but never located a jar. Took a more direct route down which was steeper and leafy but no rocks and moss. Came out about 100 feet from where we had entered the woods. Followed the roads back down to our car. |
