Comments
Comments: Nice quiet day on the trail. I didn't see anyone from the time I left the parking lot at 9am until about 3pm when I was getting back to the Black Pond area. I saw several other folks on the walk out along Lincoln Woods Trail.

There were patches of snow/ice in shady spots but it was not persistent until the intersection of Owl's Head Path and Brutus Bushwhack. I put spikes on at about 3,500 ft and that was more than sufficient. The snow/ice was was well packed and where it wasn't it was almost fully melted to the ground. I carried snowshoes but based on the depth of the snow that is remaining and how packed that snow/ice is from 3,500 ft to the summit I would not do that again unless we get more snow.
