Comments
Comments: Auto road is well tracked all winter with morning hikers. You only need snowshoes on the day after a storm until the trail gets repacked. Trackion usually recommended as some parts of the road get icy. Today the road had black ice between the switchbacks and on the steep section just before the summit. The rest of the trail was packed sticky snow.
