Nice hike on a cloudy/wet day. Some light rain when I arrived passed through the area pretty quickly however once I started hiking. Trail was very wet & damp with pockets of water & mud headed up to Starr King. I put spikes on at about 2.3 miles into the hike and wore them all the way to Waumbek. The mile between Starr king and Waumbek varied from firm monorail, loose, spring style snow (very manageable tho), and bare/wet ground. |
