There was one large fresh blowdown (softwood) at ~'2000, blocking entire trail. Real thicc with lots of branches. Observed several very deep, fresh woodpecker holes on the trunk just above where it snapped off. tree looked healthy otherwise |

good short, steady climb up the ski trail to end the day redlining. Saw zero humans all day. spring near hut was flowing strong, Fin had a nice bath in it. The cutoff trail is very pleasant. Nice restricted views of Carter Notch and Baldfaces. Great trail to run down. |
