Comments
Comments: Another visit to Carr to check this eastern approach -- feel like I've been to this peak a lot in recent years. :)

The short portion of TPT I was on was dry to damp with a few minor muddy spots.

Blazing is present on CMT but could be more frequent. This trail also has several wet areas / mud pits that could benefit from stepping stones.

CMT started out dry to damp but became increasingly wetter with elevation. The upper eroded section has lots of water, both standing and running, with copious amounts of mud. Rocks and mud were slippery and I took two small tumbles. Lower elevations are lined with trout lily and trillium.

On the way down I did a short bushwhack to see if anything marked the point where the towns of Warren, Wentworth, Rumney, and Ellsworth meet, but I couldn't find anything.

Intermittent light rain showers started at the chilly summit and accompanied me during the descent. I only saw one other person -- probably one of the most unprepared hikers I've ever seen. Hope they got down ok.
