Small ones easy. 1st 2 big ones had to wade early. 2nd two easy rock hop. Was able to rock hop all of these on way back. Water levels had dropped. Did get boots wet on last one. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Franconia Brook Tr has a lot of blowdowns too many to count. No real issue, small trees completely across trail. Waist high so step overs. Lincoln Brook had a couple of duck unders. Lots of wet muddy spots as well. Slide was mostly dry. Brutus in great shape on way down. Went |

 | Comments: |
Plan was Black Pond bushwhack but I lost it early. I went high, should have gone low. Solo so I went back before it got bad. Added about 2 miles to my hike..... 18 wasn’t enough. Saw it entering Lincoln Brook then missed it on the way out. Went up the slide. 2 cairns for now marking the start. Dirty monorail starts above Brutus traction not needed. Passed quite a few heading down, had summit solo. Brutus down, steep in spots but in great shape. Only saw 2 on the way out. Beautiful day to be out,,, |
