 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Winslow State Park lot was mostly empty. No reservation required today and no one was collecting fees. |
 | Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
 | Recommended Equipment: |
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
None. |
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Significant erosion from heavy use on all of these trails except for Lincoln. One stepover each on Winslow and Barlow. The SRKG blazes at the base of the scramble on Lincoln could be confusing as they seem to signal two different directions of travel. |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |
 | Bugs: |
Hundreds of black flies greeted me in the parking lot but there was enough wind to keep them at bay (mostly). Mosquitoes were also out. |
 | Lost and Found: |
I found a child's jacket on Rollins, which I carried out. |

 | Comments: |
Nice afternoon for a figure 8-sh loop over Kearsarge. All of these trails are 99% dry; just a few minor spots of mud scattered about.
From the summit I went down Rollins to The Garden, then came back up Lincoln so I could do the steep scramble -- a super fun section of trail and great views to boot from the cliff that the trail climbs up.
Not too many folks on the mountain today. The fire tower was staffed though. Pleasantly cool on top with the wind but not cold. Sun was in and out of the clouds. |
