Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The Tunnel Brook/Benton Trailhead is not where Google Maps tells you it is. You're in for a 1.5-mile surprise if you don't have a current map on you. A section of the old road was washed out a while back, presumably by Irene.

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: A couple interesting ones but all manageable with some care.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: For the most part, these trails were all in great condition. A few blowdowns here and there. I did lose the trail a bit around Mud Pond.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Pulled 4 ticks off me, none of them had latched on yet. Plenty of skeeters and gnats out now.

Comments
Comments: One of the most fun hikes I've had in a while. Saw nobody the whole time - Tunnel Brook Trail is beautifully remote. Mud Pond is magical. This is my new favorite loop of Moosilauke. The woods are really shining with that spring green color all of a sudden.
