Comments
Comments: Excellent day for these peaks and to hike Brookside Trail and Watson Path for the first time. Very little remaining snow throughout. Descending Davis Path towards Isolation does have some remaining rotten monorail in spots which is mostly avoidable. Davis Path is quite muddy and Isolation Trail East is a flowing stream in spots. The one water crossing on ITE was no issue at all. I took the Engine Hill Bushwhack following the 3200+ ft contour and until the end avoided any mucky spots.Alpine flowers are just starting to bloom and are stunning. it was nice chatting with the few on the trails today including the hiker on Isolation nearing completion of the 48 as,well as the two backpackers i met while descending Mt Isolation. i hope the black flies didnt carry you away!🙂
