Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Both main and auxiliary parking lots were full early this morning -- but there's still room along Shem Valley Road beyond the auxiliary lot.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant, Standing/Running Water on Trail

Water Crossing Notes: Water crossings were not an issue. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails were in great shape -- still wet from the inch-plus of rain Friday evening, but draining properly. Clark Trail immediately past the intersection with the Holt-Clark Cutoff is getting a bit lush and could use a minor brushing. 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Plenty of water in all stream crossings.

Bugs: Bugs were not a problem.

Comments: Trails have gone from bone dry last week to a bit soggy in some spots after Friday's heavy rainfall. Lower ledges (below the warden's cabin) are pretty wet with seepage.
