Black flies were quite vexing at times. A few mosquitoes. Deer flies are starting as well. Made the mistake of veering off the gravel access road on the ski slopes; picked up half a dozen ticks (ticks didn't arrive here until the past couple of years). |

Trails were a little damp first thing this morning, but dried fairly quickly with the sun and warming temperatures. Some showers moved through during the middle of the afternoon, so it may be damp again.
Ski slope grass is getting tall; probably time to stick to the gravel access road. Picked up half a dozen ticks from pushing through tall grass. Lots of flowers in bloom though. |
