Crossings one and three were rock hoppable at lower than normal levels. Crossing two is dry, as is often the case since Hurricane Irene. |

| Bugs: |
Black flies/mosquitoes/deer flies were around, but not terrible. Picked up a couple of ticks from the ski trails; should heed my own advice and stick to the gravel access road the whole way down. |

| Comments: |
Trails were mostly dry today, as Waterville did not appear to pick up any measurable rain last night. Still some wildflowers in bloom. If descending the ski area, the gravel access road (to the left of the red hut, sort of under the triple chair initially) is the best way to go to avoid the tall grass and ticks.
Surprisingly quite a few people starting very early, but not as many starting later in the morning.
Really nice weather with temperatures in reaching the 70s and not too much humidity. |
