Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All crossings easily rock-hopped. Some crossing were bone-dry on the lower portions of Bond Cliff.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: All trails in good shape.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: A bit hot in the afternoon for dogs today--the ones we saw were panting pretty hard.
Bugs
Bugs: Still not bad but it was in the low 40's when we started out. Mostly on top in the afternoon were they more active and hungry. The Lincoln Woods trail had the most mosquitoes. We saw some really huge hornets on the Bonds...I've never seen that species before.

Comments
Comments: Beautiful day in the Pemis. Lots of hikers too. Talked to a through hiker from Tennessee who's headed to the 100 mile wilderness and ultimately Katahdin. Met a young hiker, probably 11 who was working through his second round of 48's. Mount Guyot was one of my favorites in the Pemis...other-worldly.
