Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Rock hoppable (one Madison Gulf crossing was slippery due to moss/etc.).
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Quite a few blowdowns on Madison Gulf, plus brushy. Brushy on parts of Osgood. Madison Gulf needs more markings (minimal wilderness blazing is detrimental if it results in herd paths all over ambiguous areas). Lots of erosion on Madison Gulf and Osgood, but did note some nice newer stairs on the latter.

Comments
Comments: Great Gulf Trail was mostly dry. Madison Gulf Trail had a few areas of running water and minor muck. Scramble ledges were dry.

Star Lake Trail was mostly dry. Nice variety of alpine flowers in bloom. Air Line to Gulfside was also mostly dry.

Hut was open and masks were optional.

Osgood Trail was mostly dry.

Apart from the summits and the hut, we saw very few people. Nice weather with a steady breeze above treeline to keep the warmer temperatures bearable. Still some snow visible near the Great Gulf headwall and on the side of Mt. Jefferson.
