Comments
Comments: Pretty much followed Amy and Bryan’s loop. Walked Ad Chase Road almost to the end, at a hut containing stacked wood opposite a cleared grassy area. An ATV road heads up to the peak from the far left corner of the grassy area. Easy to follow, a bit steep at times. Passed a picnic table at the summit ridge. Continued on the ATV road which curled around to the right where we located the summit jar just to the side of the road. Back down the way we came. Once at the road we went a short ways back towards the car before taking a heading to the south peak. Grades were moderate. Vegetation alternated from open woods to thickly overgrown snowmobile trails even moose seem to have avoided. About .5 miles from the summit we hit a snowmobile trail that had very little overgrowth. This lead us to a height of land where turned directly towards the peak on another old road, then open woods to the summit ridge. Checked a bunch of high spots along the ridge, finally locating the summit jar which was a bear bitten pill bottle with a baggie: no register or lid. Hung a new jar then headed back to that snowmobile road which first heads north but then turns East, descends the mountain and then parallels the road, ending on the road just above the gate.
