Started by walking up the right fork to a grassy clearing ( most cars could probably drive this far). Headed into the woods towards the peak: nice and open with a moderate grade. Passed a blue house/camp and continued up, crossing a few overgrown woods roads. Finally crossed the aforementioned yellow blazes on our final ascent towards the summit jar. Hiking back to those blazes we did follow them for awhile when they suddenly disappeared at a junction with an overgrown woods road. We followed that road through waist high grass, etc. coming to a clearing when the blazes reappeared for a short time. We decided to take a more direct route through the more open woods, popping out near that blue house, Camp Hi Top, and a continuation of the road back down the clearing and eventually our car. |
