Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The first four crossings of the day required care and a bit of acrobatics to stay dry.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: All trails easy to follow. power line crossings on Castle and Lowe’s overgrown. A few sections of the link I did were overgrown with hobblebush. Emerald sign on Israel Ridge is smashed up
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw none. Left Fin at home today didn’t want to push it in the prezi’s. A few ladders on Israel ridge, sharp rocks, and a lot of steep, rough hiking makes this route tough for most dogs.
Bugs
Bugs: None today

Comments
Comments: Spectacular weather redlining trails on Adams. Israel Ridge Path is really scenic and was a joy to hike. Did quick side trips to Emerald Bluff and the Perch. Emerald Bluff is a really gorgeous spot. Some steeper sections and easy ladders on IRP but nothing too difficult. Everything below tree line very damp. Above tree line was dry with pleasant breeze and sunshine. Clouds moved in on Washington/Jefferson but i stayed in the clear all afternoon. Had Adams summit to myself. Lowe’s Path was much wetter than IRP. Section of Link between Lowe’s and IRP was extremely pleasant hiking. Cabin Cascades was very rough and steep in places, and was not so pleasant near the end of the day. Ran last mile of Lowe’s and the rail trail, which was much nicer than expected, with a lot of shade in parts and great views up to where I had just been.
