Water Crossing Notes: Crossed one Brook, but it was easy.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: None. The trail was very nice
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw several dogs. Met one unfortunate dog who injured his paw and I believe his mom was in the process of having to carry him down. I hope they made it out safely. This is a very rough trail and can be hard on a dog’s paws if they aren’t accustomed to this terrain.
Bugs
Bugs: None, although I’m still adding bug repellent at trailhead
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing

Comments
Comments: Absolutely loved this hike. The views were incredible. It was a steep and steady climb, at time over ledges, the last two miles heading up North Moat. The trail continued, descending with steep sections, requiring scrambling down, then heading over to Middle Moat. The climb from Middle to South Moat was relatively easy. But the descent from South Moat was extremely rocky and steep.
