It took us eight hours to complete the bushwhack portion of this hike. This was the most difficult bushwhack I've done to date. A lot of hard work, but fun. Varied terrain, particularly on the descent from Anderson.
We followed the ridge up to Lowell, veered west a bit on the Lowell descent and then straight north to Anderson after the col.
From the Anderson summit, retraced our general direction toward the col, and then west to Carrigain Notch Trail.
A few sketchy spots with rotting rock, scree and dirt slides. Test branches and rock handholds before you venture and you'll be fine.
Summit canisters were pretty easily located. |
