Comments
Comments: Stopped off here after completing a hike up Moriah in order to check this trail off the WMNF list. The AMC Guide description is a bit inaccurate / incomplete. Do not go up the driveway as instructed. Rather, go up the grassy slope just before the driveway - there are two small signs with arrows on the driveway fence pointing the way. Additional arrows are at the top of the grassy slope. The AMC Guide mentions two intersecting jeep paths; there are actually seven. There are additional arrowed signs showing the way, except for one very old and obscure intersecting path. Stay on the main path here.

About 0.4 miles from the road the path narrows considerably and is no longer a jeep path. You will find a number of red paint markings on trees. These appear to be boundary markers, not trail blazes. Shortly beyond this is the cement marker The Guide mentions. The ledges are just beyond this point. There is an iron bench at the ledges. The views would have been nice were it not for all the haze.
