 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Footing for the most part is good particularly before the glacial eratic(1 mile mark). Above this and before the col between North and South Percy the trail to avoid a group of mossy wet slabs is very rooty with loose soil. Rock slabs on the spur to N. Percy were thankfully dry. |

Another great hike in the North Country. Toughest part of this trail is above the glacial erratic to the col between North and South Percy(1000 feet of elevation gain in 0.7 miles). Footing not bad except area to avoid wet mossy slabs below the col. Good amount of rock steps to help with steepness. Rock steps for the most part were dry. The spur to North Percy starts out rather mild. Gets rather interesting when you come to the slabs. Slabs reminded me of the slabs on Fisher Mt in Dickey Notch but much more scarier. Unlike Fisher Mt where you have woods around the slabs, these slabs are wide open. I can see why they they are listed on the Terrifying 25. The views from the summit are amazing. By moving around you have a 360 degree view. Views unfortunately were a little hazy due to humidity and western wild fires. Came down the same way as I went up. Didn't care to do the road walk from Percy Loops Tr.
