| Comments: |
A needlessly long loop for the sake of redlining and getting more miles in a day, around 17.9 mi 5700' gain. Many trails have lots of road noise.
Greenleaf Trail was a more moderate wooded ascent to the hut than OBP, cool to check out Eagle Pass, though road noise before that point.
Clouds lifted as I was on the ridge.
Cascade Brook Trail had nice footing overall, many mostly dirt sections with easy pitch, though there are a few wet rocky sections too. Contemplated doing Cannon, but it was getting later and went back the easy way.
The Pemi Trail between Lafayette Place CG and Tramway parking has little redeeming value....I93 runs next to it, there are some nice views of Cannon cliffs and Eagle Pass, but you would get that on the bike path. |
