Comments: Awesome sunrise hike of the Moose followed by the other peaks.I wasnt sure if id see the sun as summit was mostly socked in. Shortly before sunrise the skies cleared for a spectacular colorful sunrise. After going over to S Peaki retraced my steps and headed down Beaver Brook Trail. There is a well established herdpath to the summit. First time on Asquam Ridge Trail and what a gem! Definitely seems to be a trail less traveled. Gentle grades and a really nice trail. Unfortunately when taking the established herdpath to what seemed like the highpoint of Mt Jim there was no canister or even a cairn but a pile of human waste and tp. A helpful tool for my pack is a Deuce#2 UL trowel. it weighs almost nothing and at 20 bucks its a deal. it was nice chatting with the two of only 3 hikers i crossed paths with not far from Merrill Loop.
