A few stepover blowdowns. Unmitigated gullying between the peaks where a waterbar is not functional and a seep downhill from it (another waterbar needed) is flowing down the trail. Lots of trail creep as well, including where log steps and waterbars are being bypassed and are now failing. |

Loop was generally dry, with the exception of an area of running water on the backside, as well as a few minor muddy areas (and a few slippery rocks from the humidity).
Upper 60s to start first thing in the morning, but quickly a frying pan on the ledges with temperatures in the low 90s. A breeze helped make it bearable, but it was still quite humid. Not overly crowded this morning. |
