Comments
Comments: Dry trails, how I've missed you! What an enjoyable walk through the forest. The footing and grades were easy to moderate everywhere except the second half of Desolation which is a proper steep ascent. Clouds held at mid-level so views were extensive and all peaks visible. I would certainly recommend trying the loop instead of the generic out and back, it does end up in the 14ish mile range but since the trails through the notch and Pemi are mostly logging road remnants, the going is good!
